- Prepare 4 of boiled potatoes.
- It's 1 of red onion.
- You need handful of Spinach.
- You need of Salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder.
- You need 1 of green chilli optional.
- Prepare of Curry leaves optional.
- It's of Cooking oil.
- Prepare handful of Coriander finely chopped.
- It's 1 cup of gram flour.
Aloo Bonda instructions
- Mash the potatoes, add chopped green chilli, red onion, salt, red chilli powder, 2 teaspoons garam masala, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, coriander and spinach. Mix well..
- In a bowl add gram flour, a pinch of salt, and 1 cup water. Stir well. Make sure there are no lumps. Check the consistency. It shouldn't be thick nor too runny..
- Heat oil in a deep pot for frying. Make palm sized balls of the mashed potato mixture..
- Dip the ball in the gram flour batter. Coat it well..
- Drop it carefully in the hot oil to fry. It should turn into golden brown colour. Turn it to cook from all sides. It should look like this..
